Survey Research

A well-constructed survey can do more than tell you what the public thinks about a given issue. It can also reveal why the public believes what it does – and what key pieces of information, out of the myriad possibilities, are needed to further shape the public’s understanding of that issue. We have extensive experience with all aspects of quantitative opinion research: questionnaire development, sample design, management of data collection and tabulation, weighting, analysis, reporting, and presentation of results.

Data Analytics

Already have a completed survey, or another data file, and want to take the analysis to the next level? Want to go beyond the toplines and crosstabs, and better understand what is associated with a given attitude or attitude change? Want to know which of the messages you tested did the most to move respondent attitudes? Are you looking to develop a customer segmentation? Do you need a classification algorithm for an existing segmentation, to assist with future research or focus group recruitment?  We have a wealth of experience and statistical tools at our disposal to do just that, including linear regression, logistic regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis, analysis of variance, CHAID segmentation, MaxDiff, modeling, data mining, and other techniques.

Qualitative Research

Numbers alone don’t always tell the whole story. Qualitative research can help clarify and give much-needed context for understanding the way your audience thinks. Focus group discussion, and individual in-depth interviews, can also identify key themes to be explored further in survey research. Our experience has taught us what types of questions to ask, when to ask them, and how to dig beyond top-of-mind answers to draw out respondents’ attitudes, opinions, beliefs, feelings, and perceptions. We can help develop a research plan, define your objectives, design a discussion guide, manage respondent recruitment, moderate sessions or conduct individual interviews, and provide a full written report of the findings.
